My Stupid Brother and Assholes that Need to Treat Women Better

Hey bloggers!

So what I would like to talk about today is abusive people. Now, in my last blog I mentioned that I myself have been a victim of abuse, so when I see people abuse others, quite frankly it pisses me off.

Yesterday, my brother ran out of gas at his friend's house and called his girlfriend who is always over at our house to take him to get more gas in his car. We are all tired of him relying on everyone else to enable his irresponsible behavior. We go and pick him up and when his girl friend decides to ask questions about exactly what happened, he of course starts yelling at her for no reason and then starts yelling at her because apparently driving to the gas station that costs less is being stupid..... She tries to tell him to shut the fuck up and stay in the back seat, but he just keeps yelling. I have dealt with this my entire life from him. And yesterday we learned what exactly abuse is in health class. That is considered verbal and emotional abuse.

The day before this occured, while speaking to his girlfriend, he proceeded to put his hand on her face in order to get her to stop talking. She smacks him on the arm to get him to stop, and he slaps her behind her head. Now, is it just me, or does this seem like physical abuse? Again, I have put up with this my entire life from him.

My brother thinks that men are always right and women are stupid. This is a perfect example of what I was talking about in my last blog. I don't even consider him family anymore because he needs to learn how to grow up and treat women as equals. Men like this piss me the hell off and I don't tolerate it. Yesterday he put his hand in my face, and I stabbed him with a spatula. He stopped after this happened because he was afraid I actually pierced skin. Now I don't condone violence, but you have to do what you have to to defend yourself.

If anyone is ever going through situations like this or worse, you should get help. My mother is too protective of her precious first born to do anything about it, but you don't have to put up with it.

And remember, when someone does something ridiculous, always call them out on it and remember, "C'mon, Seriously?!"

Women of America:

Okay, I know I haven't blogged in awhile, but I will be attempting to blog more often.

Okay, so something I want to talk about today is the female gender. This week in health we have been talking about women and how they are treated in the U.S. First off, the media portrays women as inferior and objectified to sex no matter where we look. Be it magazines, T.V., music videos, movies, etc. Everywhere we look we see women exploited because sex gets people's attention. Mainly, the male gender's attention. 3% of the media's leaders are women. Very little of the government officials are women. Many males feel it is not appropriate for women to be in politics because they will "PMS and start a war." Last time I checked, all the wars in the last thousand years have been started by MALES. 51% of the U.S. population is comprised of women. So why are we still being degraded and belittled? It's because chauvinistic males have helped shape the media's views of women. Young girls are being taught at an early age to feel insecure about themselves because of self image. Young boys are being taught that's okay to subject women to sex and pleasing males is a woman's first priority in life. I, for one, am no longer going to stand for it. If America is supposed to be based on freedom and the pursuit of happiness, why are women being so mistreated in America?

Also, women and children are the most abused people in the world. These views of how women are to be viewed and treated are basically saying it's okay to abuse women because they have little worth. As a victim of abuse I know how it feels to feel like everyone should be working towards ending the mistreatment of women. Not to say men aren't abused, because I know they, too, are abused. It is my point that the world is being too lenient with allowing this to go on. Money talks, and sex sells. Life shouldn't be based around money or sex. I am very disappointed in America. No, I don't hate my country. I hate what my country is displaying to the world. That men are superior and have power, yet women are just here to please men.

Another topic about women: how women treat other women. As one of the commonly mistreated groups in America, we shouldn't be trying to tear each other down. Calling each other sluts and whores and bitches is counterproductive. Women are best when we work together to create something good; not fighting among each other showing men that we can't cooperate like we claim we can. So what if her skirt is shorter than yours? That doesn't make her a slut or a whore. Maybe she feels more comfortable in less clothing? That's her choice. You have no idea why she does the things she does unless you have specifically had a conversation with her addressing what you think is an issue. What makes you better than any other woman? Nothing. We are all here to serve the same purpose. Carry on the human race and try to improve things for the next generations to come. So stop hating on your fellow woman, and try building each other up.
